Welcome! Avenue B has something for everyone. Events include: private dinners, hiking, sailing, cocktail parties, art exhibits, tennis and golf. We go to see great theater, films, we support local non-profits in many creative social ways. We hear live music played locally and just hang out and have fun.

Avenue B Private Reception at Taste of the Nation:
Tuesday April 26

This is a premier tasting event that features the area’s finest restaurants and purveyors sharing their best foods and wines. Each year, hundreds of food and wine enthusiasts and industry professionals throughout Fairfield County join together to raise critical resources for Share Our Strength’s fight to end hunger.

An Afternoon at the New MoMA
Avenue B Member Lisa Maxcy has offered to host a group of us on a trip into NYC to see the newly re-modeled Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) on May 21. As a MoMA member, she’s gotten us great prices on tickets—and we’re arranging a private “highlights” tour with a curator. Tickets for this special event are only $18 and are limited so hurry and get on the list! RSVP to kateb@aveb.net.

Member Spotlight: John Garb
Avenue B charter member John Garb has more than 25 years experience playing Ultimate (Frisbee). His masters teams won gold medals at both the 1998 US Nationals and the 1999 World Ultimate Championships at St Andrews, Scotland. He is a competitive athlete who, at 44, still enjoys competing with the twenty and thirty year olds, deftly defying the stereotypes about losing a step with age. I asked John and some of his teammates to do a demo for us later in the spring so stay tuned for more details.
